Tell us a bit about yourself?

I am a 26 year old mother of two beautiful girls Amielia and Ruby. I play soccer, Oztag and Futsal and work in Early Education. On top of all that, my partner and I also run a small carpentry business as a side hustle and we love doing our own home renovations.

What were you doing before babies?

I was doing pretty much the same thing but more sleeping. Iv always been playing soccer and I’ll play until I physically can’t play anymore. My partner and I loved travelling and would travel and see live music across Australia.

How did you come to be a mum?

My partner and I planned our first baby, I was 19 and he was 24. I fell pregnant almost instantly and was absolutely terrified. However, it was the best decision I have ever made and my first born turned 6 just November passed.

What has your feeding journey been like?

I didn’t really have a feeding journey, it was to painful for me and just didn’t work so my children were formula fed from about 3 weeks onwards.

It helped me a lot because my partner could help feed the kids while I got rest.

What has sleep been like in your house?

Sleep has been so good in our house, I have been very lucky and my kids have slept through the night from about 6 months onwards with the odd off night where they would wake up for a particular reason.

The hardest bits…

Ooooooo so so so many hard bits.

I would say the hardest bits would be accepting my body after having two kids, not fitting in with friendship groups that don’t have any kids, sacrificing my career to have kids young and most of all when your children are sick and there isn’t much you can do to make them feel better.

Everything is super hard but super worth every moment.

The best bits…

Oh so many good bits.

Watching the kids grow and be proud of themselves, watching them develop in to the most beautiful amazing little humans. Planning our futures together and going in adventures and holidays.

How do you make time for you?

Soccer. Soccer and sport is my go to when I need to spend some time on myself, gives me some times to just focus on myself and forget about everything else.

What’s next for you and your family?

Finishing home renovations, getting married in 2022 and possible baby number 3

A piece of advice for our readers?

Reach out if you need help, just because you’re a mother doesn’t mean you can do it all.
