Tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is Chelsea and I am a Mum of 3 beautiful babies. Lexi 5, Maci 2 & Benji 3months. I also run a small business called Cheki Baby with my Mother Kim. Born, raised and married to Jason in Canberra. We did move to Batemans Bay for 9 months but then were hit by the bushfires and resulted in losing work, then the devastating news of Jason's Father becoming terminal. We moved back home to Canberra for the family.

What were you doing before babies?

Before I had my babies I was working full-time in Early Childhood Education and studying to be an Early Childhood Teacher.

How did you come to be a mum?

After meeting my partner Jason, 8 months into our relationship I did unintentionally fall pregnant while on the pill.

What has your feeding journey been like?

I had always dreamed of being a Mum but unfortunately I wasn't blessed with the ability to feed my babies. My first two I couldn't produce, for my third it was looking promising but he has a slight tongue tie which caused him to not latch properly and my milk supply did not build.

What has sleep been like in your house?

Sleep is a rare occurrence in our house, our first babe wouldn't sleep unless on me and didn't sleep through the night until she was at least 5, our second babe is still in and out of our bed, struggling to sleep through without me. Our newest addition on the other hand is a dream, he loves his sleep and on his own!

The hardest bits…

The sleepless nights and seeing my babies sick are the hardest moments, even more so when you're tired or unwell yourself.

The best bits…

Gosh, there are bests bits daily.I couldn't narrow this down by any means, they ARE the best bits.

How do you make time for you?

Honestly it would be rare for me to have a moment for myself, maybe a bath or a nap on my own once in a blue moon but wouldn't have it any other way.

What’s next for you and your family?

After a very hard last 2 years we have just recently made the decision to relocate our family back to Batemans Bay.

A piece of advice for our readers?

Take the good moments with the bad, try to be present and not stress about the things you can't control. Just do the best you can do, you are enough!
